The Death of Method Coaching..

Method coaching these days has become far too wide spread and what we believe is becoming the cancer of golf tuition going forward. Why then are some of our top coaches world wide still using this way of teaching?

The answer we have discovered, using TrackMan, is very simple. Coaches who do not have the correct information available to them, have designed a formula that they believe will work for all types of golfers. This is utter rubbish and a problem in that no 2 golfers will swing identically.

Forget that we are all built differently, have our own way of feeling a golf swing and also have our own identity when it comes to presenting the club face to the golf ball at impact. Likewise, we all use different golf equipment, equipment that has been specifically fitted to suit our own individual golf swings.

However, what is coming out in the modern teaching era, is that more and more teachers have embraced modern technology and are seeing the value within the systems. TrackMan is one such system, the most accurate radar technology available and with world leading software has now identified the importance of keeping to the individual and not trying to program him/her into what the coach believes is the correct model swing.

Justin Rose and Hunter Mahan both use TrackMan in their own games, both achieve identical results yet both move their body and swing their clubs very, very differently to each other, this in its own is enough evidence to prove that method coaching is not the way forward.
