The Presidents Cup is a series of golf match events played between a team representing the United States (Team USA) and an International Team representing the rest of the world but Europe.
The Presidents Cup competition consists of 30 matches played from Thursday to Sunday.
5 Four-Ball matches.
5 Foursomes matches.
4 Four-Ball matches.
4 Foursomes matches.
12 Singles matches.
Traditionally, players are required to compete in two matches prior to singles matches. Nevertheless, there is a new format change in play this season. It dictates that each Presidents Cup team player must play a minimum of at least one game before the singles matches.
Every game is worth a point. So, the total points are up to 30. There are no playoffs here. So, if the match closes in the tie after 18, each side will receive half a point. However, if both teams are tied at the end of the singles matches – it's a draw and the teams share the Presidents Cup.
