Day confirmed at Royal Melbourne

Captain Els picked Adam Hadwin, Jason Day, Joaquín Niemann, and Im Sung-jae for Royal Melbourne Golf Club

The 13th Presidents Cup is set to tee off in less than 32 days at the Royal Melbourne Golf Club. So, International Team Captain, Ernie Els has confirmed his final 4 picks.

In case you are now wondering who Captain Els picked for his 12-man team to face the 12 top golfers from the United States. Well, wonder no more, because it’s Adam Hadwin of Canada, Jason Day of Australia, Joaquín Niemann of Chile, and Im Sung-jae of South Korea.

They scheduled the event for December 9 – 15, 2019 at the Royal Melbourne Golf Club, south of the Australian state of Victoria. This is the third time that the Presidents Cup will be at the Royal Melbourne. The club hosted the event in 1998 and again in 2011. Thus, making the Royal Melbourne GC the only golf club outside the United States to host the Presidents Cup multiple times.

So, again, Captain Els will lead the youngest international team in Presidents Cup history, with the average age of his 12 players totalling just over 29. This is also the fourth consecutive international team that has been younger than the previous team.
