European Tour at Leopard Creek Country Club

This week, the European Tour in collaboration with the Sunshine Tour is in South Africa for the Alfred Dunhill Championship. The event which is being staged at the storied Leopard Creek Golf Club tees off tomorrow.

Designed by golfing icon Gary Player in collaboration with the course's financier – the South African billionaire and business magnate Johann Rupert, Leopard Creek Country Club lies on the border of South Africa's Kruger National Park and enjoys a unique and beautiful bush setting with excellent year-round weather that makes this course a must-play.

But don’t let the beautiful setting and fancy amenities full you. Leopard Creek is a tough golf course. No wonder it continues to attract big names some 23 years after it opened.

For Thursday’s tournament, the bookies seem to favour 25-year-old South African, Christiaan Bezuidenhout. They place him 1st as the most likely to capture the title with odds of 12/1. He is followed by Branden Grace with 18/1, then Charl Schwartzel 18/1 and Eddie Pepperell on 18/1.
