Today, Compleat Golfer published an article about the PGA TOUR recently committing to an improved 2019-20 season schedule. The new PGA TOUR program is said to feature 49 FedExCup tournaments, and an about-face opening segment. It also tells of several late-season amendments, which appear to be adaptable to the 2020 Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo.
No matter how you look at it, the new schedule seems to mirror a net increase of three tournaments in contrast to the current season. A total of eleven out of the 46 regular season events are scheduled between September and November.
This will also include two new tournaments. PGA Tour’s first official event in Japan, the Zozo Championship and the Bermuda Championship.
