Today marks the start of a new WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational era. The PGA TOUR tees-off today Thursday, July 25 at the famed TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee for the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational. However, for the first time in the St. Jude Classic 62-year history, this will be a World Golf Championships. It replaces the Bridgestone Invitational in Akron, Ohio, which hosted this event for 19 years.
Of the top 30 players, 22 in the FedExCup standings will tee it up including Matt Kuchar, who checks in at No 2.
The field also includes Brooks Koepka, Dustin Johnson, Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose, Bryson DeChambeau, Jon Rahm, Justin Thomas, Phil Mickelson, Jordan Spieth, Jason Day and Adam Scott.
Louis Oosthuizen and Justin Harding represent South Africa this week.
However, Rory McIlroy of Northern Ireland and Dustin Johnson of the United States are the co-favorites going into this year’s WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational.
