Tee-Times: 2019 WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational

Rory McIlroy, Brooks Koepka, and Jason Day

Northern Irish professional, Rory McIlroy (Rors) has been grouped with current world number 1 Brooks Koepka, and Australia’s world number 21, Jason Day for the opening two rounds of the PGA Tour-sanctioned 2019 WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational, which is scheduled for July 25–28, 2019.

They have all topped the world golf rankings chart in their careers. And the trio has the 12:59 pm tee time slot for their opening round at the storied TPC Southwind private golf course in Memphis, Tennessee, United States.

However, Rors goes into this tournament after missing the cut at the Open Championship at Royal Portrush despite a stunning second-round display. On, three of the last four occasions, the four-time Major Champion has missed a cut. However, he has gone on to finish in the top two of his next event.

The likes of current world number 42 Australia’s Cameron Smith, and Louis Oosthuizen, potential Presidents Cup teammates later this year in Smith’s homeland, tee off at 11:42 am alongside Brandt Snedeker.

Number 11 and 12 on the international rankings list Justin Harding, and Japan’s Shugo Imahira are off at 12:15 pm with former FedExCup winner Billy Horschel.

Tommy Fleetwood finished runner-up at the Open and he will start his bid to win a first event on American soil when he tees off from the tenth at 11:31 am. Australia’s Marc Leishman and Patrick Cantlay (United States) will join him.

Jon Rahm, who sits third on the Race to Dubai Rankings, will play alongside US Open Champion Gary Woodland and his fellow American Xander Schauffele at 11:53 am from the tenth tee.

England’s Justin Rose tees off with fellow Major champ Jordan Spieth and American Matt Kuchar from the first at 12.48pm while on the back nine at 12:04 pm reigning champion Justin Thomas, Dustin Johnson—the last winner of an event played at TPC Southwind‎—and 13-time European Tour winner Paul Casey start their campaigns.
