This week Australia may set new hottest day ever record

weather for Coober Pedy Opal Fields Golf Club

Western Australia's extreme heatwave could make its way east and spread searing temperatures to southern Australia within the next day or so. There has been unusual temperatures across the WA and this will continue throughout the weekend.

The high temperatures will move to the east and rise towards the end of the week. Starting Wednesday onwards, we expect to see a large part of the country experiencing temperatures above 45 degrees. Areas expected to swelter cover much of South Australia, Western Australia's far Southeast corner, Victoria's north and west, and NSW's southern and central regions. So, golf course like Coober Pedy Opal Fields Golf Club will be heavily hit. I expect them to experience temperatures between 12 to 16 degrees above normal.

There will be extreme heat and there's the chance some records to be broken. The mark could fall for Australia's hottest day.
