New Zealand's Danny Lee, it was felt by many keen observers, waa deliberately heckled by a supporter of the Donald Trump slogan, "Make America Great Again" during the final round of The Players Championship - and it cost him.
Korean-born Lee was in second place playing alongside the eventual American winner, Webb Simpson when he heard the now famous Trump slogan yelled at him as he was swinging his driver at the ball on the 12th tee.
The shot flew off-line and found water on a par-four hole he had birdied in rounds one and two and lead to a deeply upsetting bogey that was to derail his challenge, spoil his concentration, bring on his second shot into the water at 16 and eventually see him finished in a tie for 7th, six shots off the pace.
