Yelverton Golf Club

Started off as a nine hole, old fashioned moorland golf course. Yelverton Golf Club was established and designed by prominent golf draftsman Herbert Fowler in 1904. James Braid remodelled the design in 1920. The course at Yelverton Golf Club later relocated and evolved to be South West's best golf course.

Yelverton Golf Club is a private golf club. It is 6350 yards long and 71 Pars with nice quick greens and fairly wide firm fairways.

Yelverton GC was laid on what was once home to the old Yeoland Consuls mine. The course was extended to across the street except for the clubhouse and the first hole. Yelverton is a very natural course, has everything a golfer needs and wants length, a challenge, dashing views and a variety of gorse, wildlife and cattle roaming the fairways in a natural beauty of Dartmoor National Park.

Advance reservations are accepted for Sunday to Friday play, but Saturday tee times are bookable on day of play only. A Handicap certificate or proof of club membership is required.

To get to Yelverton golf course take the A386 south from Yelverton village towards Plymouth approximately 1 mile. Watch out for Golf Links Road west of the A386. Destination entrance to the Yelverton Golf Club is along the Golf Links Road.
