Maverston Golf Course

Construction on the focal golf course began in 2007 and teed off on 01 April, 2014. Maverston Golf Course is the latest, and perhaps the only Scottish golf course establishment to open in 2014. It covers an estimated area of 6200 yards within the Maverston Highland Estate in Moray, Scotland, United Kingdom.

The semi-private Maverston Golf Club boasts two golf courses. A par 70 parkland golf course with 18 holes and a much smaller & hazards-free par 27 with only nine holes. Both courses are situated in a cognitive setting with an overview of the Cairngorm Mountain range to the west and southwest and the beautiful ocean in the north and east.

Maverston Golf Course it is only a couple months old, but it looks & feels as if it has been there forever. It was setup by Euan McIntosh. A strong adept golf course designer and former proficient golfer. He was meticulous to preserve and blend the layout of a fairways to follow the natural & gently undulating landscape.

By today’s standards, Maverston golf is a friendly course. It does not have extreme hazards thus can easily be classified as relaxed to fairly challenging. Owing to its Leeward side positioning and close proximity to the sea, the golf course at Maverston Golf Club sustains temperate oceanic weather with dry but fairly cool summers and partially mild winters.
