Moments after Tiger Woods sank a putt on the 18th hole at Augusta National to win his fifth Masters, Nike dropped a promo ad to honor the legend featuring the 15-time major tournament winner.
Woods won on Sunday with a score of 13-under 275. Two strokes ahead of Dustin Johnson, Brooks Koepka and Xander Schauffele.
43-year-old Woods had not won a major championship since 2008. The last time he won the Masters was 14 years ago – when he led Chris DiMarco by 2-shot on the first hole of a playoff.
However, going into Sunday, legendary Woods sat just behind the leader Francesco Molinari, who burned out after finding water on the par three 12th hole.
When his final putt sank on 18, Woods gave a fist pump with his right hand then lifted both arms overhead. He then shared a hug with his caddie and then gave his son, Charlie, a big hug.
Tiger Woods’s win shows exactly how hard work, dedication, and passion can lead to something legendary.
Basically, the ad emphasis on just how incredible Tigers' win is after overcoming a lot of off-the-course drama. Being a 43-year-old is tough in any sport, so for him to come back, again and again, is simply amazing.
Fans were so emotional about it all and one was quoted saying:
"Thank you, Nike, for standing with him when others didn't! Won't forget that ever,"
