This premium golf course is built on an undulating and rocky valley terrain east of Cape Town along the Cape Supergroup Fold Belt. Erinvale GC is an honoured blueprint by legendary golf course designer Gary Player. The golf course at the Erinvale Golf Club is set with in the Erinvale Golf Estate. It 1st teed off on 27 May 1995.

Erinvale Golf Club houses a changing parklands golf course with some well-placed bunker and water hazards. It boosts scenic views of the Hottentots Holland Mountain Range and panoramic views of the Overberg coastline in Somerset West, Western Cape, South Africa. The golf course offers a 5 star golf experience. It is the proud host of the 1996 Golf World Cup.

This Championship golf club is designed as two returning nines yet on two different terrains. Holes 1 through 9 meander through a residential terrain while the back nine is on a mountainous scenery. Erinvale Golf Course measures an estimated 6506 meters on 72 pars. The course employs wide kikuyu grass fairways and wear tolerant Penncross Creeping Bent grass greens.

In general the Erinvale golf course enjoys a typical Mediterranean Temperate weather conditions. The weather pattern is warm with dry summers and mild, moist winters but has low summer rains.
